Blackjack is played against the dealer. Each player receives two cards and the dealer one card. From left to right, the players then have the opportunity to take more cards (draw) or stick with what they’ve got (stand) in an attempt to make a total to beat the dealer’s hand. If the cards total 22 or more you lose. Each card counts at face value, with kings, queens and jacks, each counting as 10 and aces count as 1 or 11. The best possible hand is a Blackjack, which is any 10 or face card with an ace.
When all players have finished playing their hands, the dealer then takes cards to finish his own hand. If the dealer’s total is 16 or less, he must draw another card. If the dealer’s total is 17 or more, he stands. If the player’s total is higher than the dealer’s total without going over 21, he wins even money. If it is less, the player loses, and if the total is the same, it is a ‘stand-off’, i.e a tie.
There must be room on the gaming tables for you to play before the dealer can exchange your fun money for you. If at any time you decide to leave the table and you still have chips in your hands from the gaming table you are playing at, please give them to the croupier and he will change it for a KingsFunCasino cheque. You will then be able to go to any of our gaming tables and play.
